Your Speedway to Seamless Data Integration

No More Roadblocks
Delivering innovative health IT solutions requires data integration between multiple electronic health records (EHRs), clinical systems, and third-party applications. Integration is essential, but it can quickly veer into an obstacle course that takes your team off track.
Datica solves this for you by removing the integration roadblocks so your IT team can stay on course to handle what matters most.
Our Datica Integrate solution enables health data integration from any source to any destination, in any format. Using application programming interfaces (APIs), developers connect to our universal API once and we take care of the rest. With over 400+ successful live EHR integrations, built by a team with deep expertise, Datica puts developers back in the driver’s seat.

The Datica Advantage
You become EHR agnostic. We’ve integrated 35 different EHRs already – use that wealth of experience to your advantage.
There is flexibility on exactly what data model is used between you and us, but it is our job to deliver the consistent model to you across disparate EHRs, healt systems, sites, and file types.
Your integrations are managed within our AWS account, which means we are responsible for all infrastructure, compliance, security, operations, support, etc. (and it’s all HITRUST-certified).
We are not a black box with a lock-in business model. We work for you to get you integrated at scale.

Integrations Aren't Simple
Find out from our experts why that complexity adds cost and time to any integration project you take on, on your own.
How It Works
Seamless & Streamlined Integration
Datica Integrate is the comprehensive application programming interface (API) solution that enables data exchange in any format, across EHRs.
-
1. Aligning On A Format
Our expert integration team will work with you to determine the best data model for your purposes and then speed you to every site you need integrate with.
-
2. Project Timeline
We have typical steps which can be sped up or slowed according to a health system sites’ internal change management policies and procedures. Having integrated 400+ sites, we’ve found that average timeline is about 4 – 6 weeks.
-
3. Project Kick-Off
Once there is a health system site ready to integrate, we can move as quickly as they can.
-
4. What's Next?
Whether you want to scale or simply know your integrations are maintained over time, we are happy to support either. Leaving you to focus on your digital health solution.

- What formats do you support?
-
Often, customers will leverage JSON, FHIR, our Unified Data Model, or their own proprietary API to which we will map.
We take on the difficult work of translating and normalizing different data types like HL7, flat files, DICOM, CCD, et al. into a consistent data model across disparate sites and systems at scale.
- Does Datica store data for integrations?
-
We don't store data to derive products from it and we're not a choke point business model. We use some raw data for troubleshooting but that is configureable to be ~2 weeks generally or longer, shorter, or not at all. The data is not in a format that can be queried, and we do not derive data products or have ulterior motives or uses.
- Is there a sandbox or something I can “try”?
-
We build custom for your workflow so there is not a generic sandbox, but we understand the need to try it first. We can accommodate the business relationship and contracting to ensure any risk or concern is mitigated before entering a longer-term relationship.
- Where does the Datica system/engine live and who is responsible for what?
-
Datica deploys and manages the integration engine on your behalf.
It lives within our AWS account which means we are responsible for all compliance, security, operations, support, and infrastructure.
